Why W.o.M.a.N Was Created
My name is Cindy, and I created W.o.M.a.N, (Working on Making a New Woman) not because I have it all figured out, but because I am still on this journey myself. I am still healing, still unlearning, and still becoming. The idea for W.o.M.a.N was born from a deeply personal place. A couple of years ago, I joined a women’s therapy group. I felt broken and lost from past trauma, exhausted from trying to hold it all together so that I could still show up for everyone else. For so long, I had shrunk myself down, silenced my own needs, and put myself on the back burner, but something inside of me was calling out for help. Our small group was made up of eight women who didn’t know each other, and although we were strangers in that space, something sacred happened - we cried together, laughed and held space for each other. Sharing the burden of our pain shifted something inside each of us, we weren’t just healing, we were becoming mirrors and medicine for each other. That experience gave me a sisterhood to grow with, helped me reclaim myself, and start taking care of myself. It also reminded me of how many women are silently carrying their pain. How many of us were taught to be strong, but never shown how to be soft with ourselves? How many of us pour from empty cups while feeling invisible and unsupported? W.o.M.a.N was created to change that. Working on Making a New Woman isn’t just a program, it a sanctuary. This is a sacred space for women to heal in community, rebuild their sense of self-worth, rediscover joy, and rise, not alone, but together. I am not sharing this work from a mountaintop; I’m in the valley with you, learning to breathe deeper, set boundaries, trust God, and take care of myself from the inside out.
We are here for:
- The woman who is tired of pretending she's fine.
- The woman who is still healing and finally ready to put herself first.
- The woman who knows she is made for more but just needs a safe place to start.
Together we will:
- Heal our inner child
- Build confidence and healthy boundaries
- Practice radical self-care
- Create safe, spirit-led communities
- Explore growth through wellness, purpose, and connection
This is your invitation to begin your healing journey. You are not alone. Together, we are working on making a new woman, one who is whole, worthy, confident, and free. Are you ready to take the first step?
At W.o.M.a.N (Working on Making a New Woman), our leadership team is united by a shared mission: to guide women on their journey of healing, self-worth, and empowerment. Each board member brings unique expertise, life experience, and passion to this work-ensuring that every woman we serve is met with compassion, vision, and community support.
